AboutÂ
"Coming to me feels like talking to an old friend. It's warm, unhurried, and without judgment — a space where things feel a little less heavy just by walking in. I'm not here to fix you. I'm here to hold space for you, to sit with you in it, until you find your way back to yourself. Because I don't just want to help you survive. I want to help you love life again."

I'm Ntokozo — a registered wellness counsellor with a background in Psychology and Communication. People come to me from all kinds of places. Some are in the thick of it — dealing with anxiety, trauma, grief, or things that have been heavy for a long time. Others just feel like something is off, or want to understand themselves better before things get harder. Wherever you're coming from, there's a place for you here.
One thing I really believe in is not waiting for the breaking point. Counselling isn't only for crisis — it's also for building the kind of self-awareness that holds you steady when life gets hard. If you want to work on that before you need it, that's just as valid as anything else.
I work the same way I'd want someone to show up for me — no rigid plan, no checklist. What that looks like in practice is simple: just you, your story, and enough space to actually hear yourself think. I want you to leave each session trusting yourself a little more than when you walked in — because that trust is what carries you through.

ABOUT THE PRACTICE

Why Lumina Exists

Lumina Insight Counselling was built on a simple belief — that everyone deserves a space to be heard, understood, and supported, regardless of where they are in life or how big or small their struggle feels.
The name Lumina speaks to that inner light that exists in all of us — sometimes dimmed by life, but never gone. This practice exists to help you find your way back to it. Not by telling you what to do, but by walking alongside you as you figure it out for yourself.

Rooted in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal and fully online — Lumina was designed to be accessible. Because the people who need support most are often the ones who find it hardest to reach.
